they do. and Ian Jarman says there is no technical or performance
reason why i5/OS cannot run on the p5. Now that IBM is selling i5/OS
at $250 per user, the price of systems running i5/OS should be p5
hardware + $250 per user. Only Herring and Jarman ( I guess ) insist
on surcharges that price the system out of competing in the
marketplace.
Check out the p5 and i5 entry system websites. the p5's is much more
customer friendly and has lots more systems to offer:
