Copying the table from the iSeries to the PC seems like an awfully
slippery slope to me.

Have you tried using OLEDB instead of ODBC? I seem to recall that you
can.

Also, does the table you are joining to on the iSeries have an index for
the field you are joining on?

Seems like the performance should be pretty good. We have some reports
that do this and they seem to run pretty fast.

The other side of problem might be. Why is the data in Access? We had
data in Access for an application and we are moving data to the iSeries
and then just using a Stored Procedure to get the data from the iSeries.
