To clarify, I will using some fonts (check amount) that
are not on the iseries. Most fonts that I wish to purchase
are for windows. Im not sure if I can use those fonts on
the iseries or not.

Also, I will be using overlays that have a pre-printed check format.

You will have to check with the vendor of your overlays. It's been a few
years since I did much with overlays, but if you are using overlays you
may run into problems with Host Printer Transforms. I do remember seeing
instructions on converting/importing PC type fonts for use on the System
i. Will you be using IPDS or another tool?
