To know the actual speed of the connection it has to be varied on. The FC #2849 is only 100Mb card. The GB Cards all start with 57 (i.e. FC 5701 and 5706)

Hi, is there a way to know the speed of an ethernet port (either 100 or 1G) without having the line configured and with out checking the back of the AS400 (which is at a remote site)? It's a 2849, maybe the top speed is only 100M? Thanks, Frank __________________
