The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

"That kind of behavior indicates almost malicious disregard for
procedures.
If they've been told not to close the app before signing off, and they
can figure out how to get around the warning, then they clearly
understand what they are doing enough to follow established procedures."
I agree wholeheartedly. Most users are pretty good about following
procedures - typically we see this happen when it's close to quitting time
and people get anxious to go home (ie last Friday) and then at 9pm when
the nightly jobs run, we notice that they are taking longer than normal to
complete (due to a 'runaway job').
And I like the idea about using committment control - I'll need to explore
that further, but I think the biggest abusers are those who aren't
necessarily doing any maintenance tasks, just query/lookup stuff.
Thanks for all the input everyone. I was mostly looking to see if iSeries
Access had this functionality built in (or newly added) since I last
investigated this problem.
