On a V4R5 model 170 I was getting some damaged objects and replaced a disk drive that was failing. I've restored the damaged objects from the user libraries but I'm hesitant to restore the few objects in Qsys. I found out these objects were damaged when I did an option 21 save after replacing the disk. The save process told me about the damage qsys objects and a help message mentioned something about that the tape should not be used to restore the operating system. Lovely. The damaged object are: SRVPGM QKRBGSS FILE QDPDD1P (a display format for problem analysis) PGM QUTCOADP I found an older Savsys tape which had only the service program on it. I'm assuming the others may have been damaged and not saved the previous time. Can I just use RSTOBJ for the service program and what would be the proper snytax of command as I notice the library name and file name on the tape are not the same. Also, for the two QSYS objects which are not on the tape, can I get them from another V4R5 box using SAVOBJ Thanks Steve Moland Access Paths Inc 12 Parmenter Rd Unit C4 Londonderry NH 03053 603 845-0190 Ext 2 steve@xxxxxxxxxxx
