(disclaimer)  It has been my experience that if it works with the remote 
OUTQ then it will work with the dummy device. 

My experience has been with Intermec barcode printers, not Zebra. Treating 
an Intermec as a laser printer and specifying page ranges typically 
wouldn't fly unless things just happened to line up by chance.  That's 
because the Intermece uses a series of commands that specifies the type, 
size, direction, etc. of everything on the label rather than an actual 
formatted page.
