Booth, this was the approach I came up with, and I think is the best. However, the biggest problem in all this, is the SOX requirements of getting it tested and validated by all the groups and locations. When mods like this are rolled into TEST, they tend to ignore them if they don't affect them personally. Second thought: Would it be useful to have an "Orders Group" to which qualified users could be added? The quantity fields could be protected for all users, excepting those in the "Orders Group"? Be sure your offending user does not get added to the "Orders Group." I have an idea that this might harvest some unseen rewards.
