Hi Jeff,

From the company web site
http://www.intellitech-intl.com/:

"Originating as the Automatic Identification Division
of NEC Technologies in January 1992, IntelliTech
International, Inc, was formed through a management
buyout of the division in January 1996."

I did some testing of their early printer models (just
after the buyout from NEC) because the unique aspect
pursued by the company was to develop a label printer,
which used PCL 5 as its printer language.

I tested their early products with some twinax IPDS to
PCL printer interfaces sold by the company where I was
working in the mid-1990's. Everything seemed to work
OK.

Ultimately IntelliTech International developed a
native AFP/IPDS capability for some of their printers,
which seems to be offered today in their current AS
models.

The IBM ASCII printer listing web page is tied to the
manufacturer name rather than the printer's brand
name:

Anyone have any experience with Intellibar Model 48
printers? Or the company itself?

Thanks.
