Thanks for the information. I was aware of the solution for using the DSPJRN command to an outfile, but was looking for a method of parsing the data from JOENTD. The system I am working on is at V5R3. Does the Security Reference Manual provide the format of the JOENTD field for each of the entry types?
I was not able to find a file with the field name of JOENTD. Appendix F of the Security Reference manual describes each of the audit journal record types. The description of each table includes the name of the outfile that should be used for each type of audit record. For example QASYJSJ5 is the name of the *TYPE5 prototype file to use for JS audit records. If you use one of the DSPJRN default output file formats (from file QADSPJRN/1/2/3/4/5) you will have a lot more work separating each of the fields into useful information.
