Under many circumstances, I would fully agree with you.  Your attitude
is commendable - I probably should have pursued the issue further.
Given the general-purpose nature of the machine, I would have expected
these results.  Not that they should be acceptable.  My unofficial
opinion is that despite all of the new work that the iSeries now does it
is and still is a 5250/batch machine at heart.  In addition, that would
affect things such as Netserver, HTTP, JAVA, etc.  Not saying that it
does other things badly just not as well.  And definitely not
scientific.

I will try to do some more work on the underlying nature of the issue.
I am not an expert but I think I can get some assistance in this area.

Well, I am not technical enough to reverse engineer the NetServer code
