  Cindy,

We applied the Cume on our 520 when it came out. Although we can't really be
sure that the Cume was the culprit, we began to get error messages about one of
our I/O adapters (in our case a 5709). Just when the IBM CE was replacing the
card I found that there is a recently released APAR, MA34482, that address this
problem.
We applied the required PTF (MF41046 for V5R3M0, MF41047 for V5R3M5) and
the problem went away.

BTW, the APAR also applies to releases V5R2 and V5R4.

  Hope this helps.

  Best Regards,

subject: Cume 0716 for V5R3 ?

Has anyone applied Cume 0716 for V5R3 ? Any problems or gotcha's ?

In preparation for applying the DST PTF's I discovered that the last Cume
applied was dated 06045. Is the new Cume required for the DST PTF's ?

Thanks,
Cyndi B.
