Three things: 1 - M/36. It's a special environment that is different than STRS36. In M/36 you have no access to OS/400 at all. More like a really early version of lpar. This died some releases back. I ?think? after V4R5, 2 - Support for the regular S/36 environment - STRS36 or STRS36PRC. No foreseeable plans to drop this. 3 - Support to compile RPG36 programs. IBM was planning on dropping this but read this statement: RPG and COBOL System/36™ and System/38™ compatible compilers, July 2006 IBM plans to continue to ship and support the following S/36 and S/38 compiler options as part of WebSphere Development Studio for iSeries in the release after V5R4.
