Evan, Thanks for the response. Does anyone have experience with Serv-U FTP? Here are the details. After digging around in manuals I found the problem. Just got off the phone with the server guys who had insisted that the server we were moved to was the same as the "old" one. Well, now I find out that the FTP client has been upgraded on the new server. The last post outlined the error logs: TW023Log 8:03 1/30/2007 OK because it had files to retrieve.
LS *.WAR (DISK
200 PORT Command successful. 150 Opening ASCII mode data connection for /bin/ls. 226 Transfer complete. TW030Log. This one failed because there weren't any files. We don't care. I just need to process files if there are any.
LS *.TXT (DISK
200 PORT Command successful. 550 *.TXT: No such file or directory.
From the InfoCenter
(Disk Stores the results of the LS subcommand in the file *CURLIB/LSOUTPUT.LSOUTPUT, instead of showing the results on the display. Each time you specify the (Disk parameter with the same *CURLIB, the server changes the contents of the LSOUTPUT.LSOUTPUT member file. Note: If the FTP server returns a negative reply code (550), then there will be no LSOUTPUT member. If the FTP server returns a positive reply code (150) without any file names, then an LSOUTPUT member with no records will result. THEREFORE THE MEMBER IS BEING REMOVED and my RPG program fails. We went from Serv-U FTP Server v6.3 for WinSock to Serv-U FTP Server v3.0 for WinSock. Hence the return code of 550. Therefore missing member in LSOUTPUT. Is there a work around rather than me modifying all of my CLs to look for zero members?
