We have a large number of remote outqs here, although not as many as 800. I was asked one time what advantage a device offered over a remote outq. I can think of several, but wonder if there is a kist somewhere of definitive advantage/disadvantages. John McKee Quoting "Wilt, Charles" <CWilt@xxxxxxxxxxxx>:You have 800 IP printers and you're still using LPD/LPR via RMTOUTQ's...why? Use SNMP/IPP/PJL instead. Is anyone using a HP laserjet 8100 attached via IP on a iSeries? I'm having a fun time getting the iSeries to talk to the HP...would be interested in any devd's if you have one to spare... We think we're down to a SNMP error but it would be nice to have a devd for comparing.
