(Ugh) I'm thinking this through. Okay, this particular user profile is the object creation profile for an application. Its primary use is to create all the objects for the application, so I also made it the owner of the application objects. This user also has list management rights on the AUTL that is used to secure both new and existing objects in the libraries for this application. Would you instead have created a group profile that would own all the objects and then add that to the object creation profile? I already use group profiles for specific capabilities (such as access to debugging), so I'm not afraid of them, I just wonder if this is the best way to go. Joe
From: BILL FRANCIS Joe, I would just create the new user profile and use GRTUSRAUT which prompts you for USER and REFUSER. That lets you give the USER all the authorities of the REFUSER. In the future you may want to use group profiles to make it easier.
