From: Walden H. Leverich Unfortunately, there is a small, but still present, percentage of PC programmers that will use their knowledge for evil. Luckily, either that group doesn't exist on iSeries, or doesn't know how to do the things that need to be done to create an iSeries virus.
Let's also not underestimate the sheer dollar volume of the anti-virus market. It's not outside the realm of possibility that there's more money to be made by finding holes than there is by fixing them... But that's silly. Such an idea would only come from the nutball, whackjob, crankpot, absolute-power-corrupts-absolutely conspiracy theorists that also insist that spam would be eradicated in a week if it wasn't a multi-billion dollar business.
