Jim,
You want to use the RSTLIB command, not the RSTOBJ.

Subject: Restore of *savf from tape

Hi,

I have a savf on a backup tape called LAWAPP8DBB

The savf was created via

SAVLIB LIB(LAWAPP8DB) DEV(*SAVF) SAVF(LAW8SUPP/LAWAPP8DBB)

I want to restore the save file off the tape using

RSTOBJ OBJ(LAWAPP8DBB) SAVLIB(LAWAPP8DB) DEV(TAP01)

MBROPT(*ALL) ALWOBJDIF(*ALL) RSTLIB(JNORBUT)

To restore it to my library

But I'm getting the error

Message . . . . : File not restored. Object name conflict for file
LAWAPP8DB.

Cause . . . . . : File on volume 122706 sequence number 3 was not
restored.

Objects specified on the restore command do not match those in the
file.

The file must contain at least one object with the same name as the
objects

   (OBJ parameter) specified.
