Mocha like just about every other product can either use the #1 IP address directly, #2 Use a name that is in the DNS or #3 Name that is in the PC's local Host file. On WIN98 and below the 'HOSTS' file is under the main 'WINDOWS' folder. on 2K and XP they moved it to c:\windows\system32\drviers\etc (pls note on system systems the 'windows' folder was replaced with 'winnt' _____________________ Kirk Goins Systems Engineer, Manage Inc. I can use a dummy ID address and connect to the system from home and at work, but I can only use the machine IP address to connect at work. If I try to connect with the machine address at home I get a can not connect to AS/400 message. I am using DSL and the other programmer is using a cable connection. Please help
