For example a model 570, machine type 9406, feature code 8338 (570 2.2GHz 0/2-way) will work with V5R3M0 at SLIC level RSH, Cum level C6045. You will want to keep an eye out and make sure that some of your components (like the smart IOA's) don't require V5R4. If you documentation isn't pointing it out you should be ok. There is reference to this in one of the V5R4 Hardware Announcement PDFs but I'm trying to confirm if this is indeed the case. The PDF refers to a feature code of #2692 (V5R3 Refresh) which must be ordered as part of the upgrade. Has anyone gone through this process? Thanks, Dean.
