Ok, Steve, that one is actually another one to add to the list of benefits of iSeries: * preventing you from shooting yourself in the head (not foot, that one is only preventable by you) Tagged pointers and associated protection they offer is a good thing! It's just one of those things that this OS does for you that others wont and indirect benefit is security and more importantly integrity. Building your own objects..... there are myriad of ways to do that.... I'm sure you found a way to accomplish it.
