Running WAS.  Startup may be a little sluggish but in reality everything
should reside in RAM once it gets going.  Not much need for capacity;
just enough for the OS + WebSphere + the deployed application bits
(which totals around 4GBish).

And yeah, 73GB 15K RPM disks for the Dell I mentioned are $379 each so
if 2 wasn't enough we could go to as many as 6 drives in the 2U frame.
8 drives if we used smaller form factor 2.5" disks and were willing to
step back to 10K RPM.

I agree w/your pricing, but just curious, what are you doing w/8 cores
that only needs 1 set of mirrored disks? 

Of course, you can always add disk at a _much_ cheaper rate, but I'm
curious.
