Re: Model 270 V5R4

I have a client that I will be upgrading V5R1 to V5R3 next week. The original plans were to upgrade also to V5R4. The system is a Model 270 feature code 2248. Total CPW is 150. IBM is suggesting not to upgrade to V5R4 because IBM has not tested the system with V5R4.
IBM has stated several times (in official documentation) that the 270 supports V5R4.
Hoever, there are other system requirements. You need a load source disk of 17gb or greater. You also need a minimum amount of memory, which can vary if you're using LPARs. More about the requirements can be found in the Memo to Users.
