Hi Doug,
Like many ISP's, the internet provider seems to be blocking port 25 unless the traffic is for their own mail server. But if you want to route through an alternative managed email service, how do you get the email to them?
Hmmm... Does the alternative managed e-mail service run their SMTP server on a different port?? Obviously, you have to connect to the same port that they're listening to! If they're listening to port 25 and you try to connect to port 2525, the connection will fail.
Does the alternative mail service support something like a VPN connection to them? Or maybe an SSH tunnel?
