It appears that the IP address added to the device description is leftintact when the device is varied off. The QDCRDEVD API will return thatvalue in format DEVD0600. So even if you don't have audit journallingactive you should be able to determine it.

Of course, this does depend on the application that opened the virtualdevice setting the IP address correctly but all the good emulators do.
