RE: Multiple Events In a Single Trigger

Ah!

AFAIK you cannot specify multiple events when creating an SQL trigger. At
least it doesn't look like it on CREATE TRIGGER

The "easiest" way I can think of is to use the iSeries Navigator GUI to
create the Insert trigger. When the trigger is created use the Generate SQL
option from the context menu of the trigger. In the Run SQL Scripts window
copy the SQL twice and change for UPDATE and DELETE and new trigger names.

Save the script so it is easy to change/re-run.

You're right, the external trigger does allow multiple choices.

 

I was using the New/Trigger/SQL option.

 

We're running the v5r4 Ops Navigator, but it's connected to a v5r3
system.
