Hi Mike,

Do you mean you want to specify that the same trigger program is run after
(or before) an INSERT or an UPDATE or a DELETE?

If so, yes - no problem.

What version of Navigator are you using? My version has no problem
specifying all 3 at the same time. From the context menu of a table
New>Trigger>External and on the Event tab you just tick the events you want.

Alternatively, on green screen you can just run the ADDPFTRG command 3
times.

Subject: Multiple events in a single trigger

Does anyone know if iSeries DB2 allows a trigger to be created which
fires when more than one event occurs?

I want to fire a trigger after any INSERT, DELETE or UPDATE on a
particular file.

I'm trying to avoid having to create three separate triggers.

I tried using the Ops Navigator wizard and it only allows one event to
be selected at a time.

Thanks.
