No problem with me Dave, I knew exactly what you meant. I still wonder if you'd get a better reply on the WEB400 list. I think Joe's answer was not what you wanted, but he was bringing up a point about "the other stuff" that WAS does for you versus non WAS (like plain Tomcat). I've dabbled in WAS a few times but never did any hardcore searching for a basic tuning WAS book. Rob Berendt
