The reason I asked this question is that I'm getting ready to put on
C6255530 on my test box that is HMC managed. The only fixes that I can
tell hit the server Firmware is MH00626 and it affects Fix Pack
01SF240_219, which is the Level on The HMC we are at. I noticed that
SF240_261 is out. I think I'll wait until the next cum level to upgrade.

Thanks

Subject: RE: When To upgrade Firmware on an HMC

That is a good question. I also would like to know since we have never
done any upgrades on the FSP or HMC since it was installed over a year
ago. Once we had a problem connecting the console after replacing the
mother board in our i5 520. The processor heat sink came apart. The CE
downloaded a fix to the HMC to re-establish the console. Outside of
that, no updates.

Those of you who have an HMC when do you upgrade to the latest firmware
level? Do you upgrade as soon as one if available, or do you wait until
you need to upgrade the Firmware on the I5? Just wanted to poll every
one to see what their HMC upgrade policy is.
