Jon,How did you get there? Fly to NYC, Newark, Philly, Baltimore? Some of these places are great but they are either a very long cab/train/shuttle ride or require a rental car.
Now, if you REALLY wanted a great place to conference and wanted it close to an airport, you should look at Salt Lake City. We didn't have the 2002 Winter Olympics there because we are "podunk capital of the world". You gotta love this place. Great walking around city. Plenty to do. Good restaurants. Theater. Few pan handlers. Clean. AND some great micro brews. Like Wasatch Brew Pub's "Polygamy Porter" ("Take some home to the wives.....")
Often overlooked but clean, affordable, and for those who want to be adventurous, skiing, hiking, fishing, hang gliding, and casinos just 90 minutes away (for the Atlantic City experience).
I'd love it if we had a System i event or two here! Pete Helgren Jon Paris wrote:
Since I'm in Atlantic City right now ... How many of you folks would find it desirable/practical to attend a System i conference in this fair town? Room rates aren't bad. And the place is nowhere near as tacky as I had expected. Just wondering if I should be checking it out for future events. Jon Paris Partner400 www.Partner400.com
