I re-read all the posts in this thread, and realize the existing system values
qtimzon and qutcoffset are all i need, and yes Chuck - the system will do it
automatically (V5r3 and later, if you set the system values correctly).
I had actually set this up long ago and forgotten.
I still feel the Time Adjust in Nav is a good thing, but we
need a cmd or api to call (and maybe there is one, i have not checked)
so we can run this without a mouse click.

Chuck,
I understand the frustration, but also understand your
email server, pc, phone, etc don't mirror to other systems, use change
control, journalling, etc, none of the complex things your iSeries supports.
There are ways for this to be automatic - by having your system keep time
with another server (which i have not set up).
The Time Adjust feature would be great if i could only put it on the
scheduler.

I'm with you Jim (chgsysval qhour) AND when is IBM going to FIX this ?

We have a Linux email server and it adjusts.

All our PC's adjust.

My cell phone adjusts.

WHY can't the iSeries ?

The Time Adjustment seems a good solution for my sites. Don't have any
need to synch with other systems, and it's not an option to bring the
machine down
(it's taking and processing orders).
However - I'm not planning to sign on at 1:59am to point & click a
navigator

function.
Why can't Rochester figure it out their job scheduler works great to run
stuff overnight.
We need a #%*# command to call.
So I will do what I've done every year - chgsysval qhour.
