I think your problem is the user is pressing enter while the session is
connecting.

Many of the TN5250 programs will screw up the whole screen painting if you
tap enter during the connection process.  I can get Mochasoft to this
everytime if I wanted.

Click connect, then tap enter a few times before the signon screen comes up.
