IIRC, v5r3 was the same. Which makes make sense given the changes made
in v5r3 to which my first post talks about.
Sorry, I forgot to mention that we are on V5R3. Also, specific to the reference you quoted earlier:
The target table is not a view, it's a plain old physical file. A significant (???-there are only less than 100 records in the file; what
is "significant"???) number of rows are being deleted.
No open cursors on the file No other job has a lock on the table. The table does not have an active delete trigger. The table is not the parent in a referential constraint, period. I am able to run CLRPFM on the file manually, so I presume I have *OBJMGT
or *OBJALTER system authority on the table. Maybe it is new to V5R4? - Dan
