RE: SQL WITH statement. -- MIDRANGE-L

This is why i much prefer QMQRYs - the limit with them is you can doonly one statement in each QMQRY - but it is possible to use QMPRC(QM procedures) to bundle things up = I've never needed to do this,so have not investigated it thoroughly. Apparently you can setvariables using an additional source member - in other words, it'sanother thing that takes some setup or a front end but has potential.

I've used it in interactive SQL and it works exactly as required. It
doesn't seem to work through RUNSQLSTM though. Anyone know why?



I tried looking for references to it in the SQL Reference manual, the
IBM on-line references, but to no avail. I couldn't find anything in
GOOGLE either. But it works. Can anyone point me in the right direction
for technical details and/or more examples please?



I'm trying to solve a problem whereby I want to use the temporary table
in a join with another file, and I was hoping to solve this problem
through documentation.
