SQL statements in RUNSQLSTM cannot just be simple a simple select. It has to
INSERT INTO existing_table (with ..... ) -or- CREATE TABLE new_table AS (with
..... ) WITH DATA

Subject: SQL WITH statement.

I found an example of creating a temporary table in SQL on another site
which used the construct 'WITH file AS (Select......)'.

I've used it in interactive SQL and it works exactly as required. It
doesn't seem to work through RUNSQLSTM though. Anyone know why?

I tried looking for references to it in the SQL Reference manual, the
IBM on-line references, but to no avail. I couldn't find anything in
GOOGLE either. But it works. Can anyone point me in the right direction
for technical details and/or more examples please?

I'm trying to solve a problem whereby I want to use the temporary table
in a join with another file, and I was hoping to solve this problem
through documentation.

Thanks
