If you do a DSPFFD of QAYIVDTA you will notice that the 9th field is a 
BLOB able to contain very large amounts of data (on my system 2147483647 
bytes).  The record length, 1616, is the fixed record/buffer size where 
the 9th field has 34 bytes allocated.  The member size includes any 
allocations that might have been made for data in the BLOB field.

IBM File QAYIVDTA






I have an IBM file on my system named QAYIVDTA in QMGTC showing this
data on DSPFD. Notice the size being reported for this object with only
12 record and a record size of 1616. Just curious if anyone else has
this file on their system and what the size is or know how this could
be.
