I think the reference is to a SW package that already has the hooks or 
interfaces to another package so someone doesn't have to spend a lot of 
time building a custom interface between the apps.

Something like SW package A is an Inventory App  while the Shipping SW is 
from another vendor but works seamlessly with A and very little 
customizing had to be done.

Never heard of a package. I wonder if they mean 'bolt on' like bolting on
something to an existing system?

And of course you could just nod your head sagely and tell said pimpette
yes...then figure it out later.
