This was years ago before there was WDSc so everyone used PDM. Next, it was a development box; we ran the task from the job scheduler at that time (0200) because there wasn't anything else (supposedly) going on; certainly not a scheduled task.

Everyone's environment is different. Heck, on the system on which I now work one would be hard pressed to find anyone (period) on the system after 1700. I, in fact, try to be out of the door by 1600 (but I do get in around 0600 .-) ).

And how many, who use Save Active, do not even kick users off so that it can do the checkpoint processing? And if they don't, then review the joblogs for skipped objects? When we were playing around with that I started asking if we could delete the item master since it must not be important if we don't back it up.
