1. Check your system value QAUDENDACN is not *PWRDWNSYS
2. When you connect via client access pc, is it powered thru same ups? if so, remove from ups. 3. is anything else in ups - remove that and isolate this 170 and ups. Is ups cable connected to system? 4. check the user profile you are signing on with (is it same between CA & Mocha)? Any startup
or initial call program in profile?
5. check outq qezjoblog, f18 to end of outq and read every log of every job around when machine went down. If you find a joblog that looks suspicious, but not enough detail, then at top of log Job description . . . . . . : QTMFTPS Library . . . . . : QUSRSYS
change that job description to log more detail:
example: dspjobd qusrsys/qtmftps and printkey this info to set back later:
Message logging:
 Level . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . : 4
 Severity . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . : 0
 Text . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . : *NOLIST
Log CL program commands . . . . . . . . . . . . : *NO
then CHGJOBD JOBD(QUSRSYS/QTMFTPS) LOG)4 00 *SECLVL) LOGCLPGM(*YES)

6. Unless your pc is hacked and submitting remote cmd or something similar, i can't see CA and some error causing a power down.
7. In your dsplog qhst, is there any job starting just before power down?

"Can you set joblog description defaults for that user / workstation sign
on, to get detailed log whatever it is doing, and connect that to your other
machine ..."

How?
