Ain't the format name that's different.  I verified that with testing of
the DSPFD and DSPFFD.  I also showed you the V5R4 RCDFMT clause I was
using.


I didn't see your message before I posted mine.  Hmmm.  Then either our
collective assumption about how the hash value is computed is wrong, or else
SQL is computing it differently.  The latter would, in my estimation, be a
bug.
