Yes, when you don't have Hawkeye life is harder. ;-)Your assertion is of course true. We do have a lot of cruddy programs that were written like the above example, but thankfully the less-than-stellar programmers didn't use APIs. AKAIK all API calls were prototyped with hardcoded literals or used named constants.
