Access for Web provides for 5250 emulation with Unicode data stream. At COMMON I'm presenting Wednesday morning (What's with these ASCII, EBCDIC, and Unicode CCSIDs) with screen captures of Access for Web running an ILE RPG *DSPF-based application displaying Cyrillic, German, and Chinese concurrently on the same panel. Try doing that with conventional EBCDIC data streams! Has anybody ever heard of a 5250-data-stream terminal or emulator for which Unicode is native? I've heard rumors myself, but nothing concrete. -- JHHL
