Do not even dream of trying to buy third party hardware, stuffing Linux on it, and going from there - ain't going to work. Hey, compared to the new price of a 5291 terminal "back in the day", $1,800 is cheap. Just had a monitor replaced on my HMC this week. Trust me, IBM gets enough support calls about the darn things (or at least used to) that they probably aren't making money on them. Rob Berendt
