It also has an excellent doc about RCLSTG, as well as a screen shot from a V5R4 system down at the bottom. I especially like this section: Do not run the RCLSTG command for the following: -- For physical or logical damage (soft/partial damage). -- System power outages. -- When unfamiliar messages are received. -- System ended abnormally several times since the last RCLSTG command was run. The RCLSTG command should not be necessary prior to an update unless there is a warranted reason for running it. -- Normal system maintenance. -- Preparing for an upgrade https://www-912.ibm.com/s_dir/slkbase.NSF/1444e529a72ba96486256a64006819 92/9373303619fb4b89862565c2007d4bcf?OpenDocument Even some stuff on there that I wasn't aware of. I just submitted feedback on some of those sites to get them updated. The main fax site still has links in the "more information" section to V4 manuals. I was pointing out how confusing the whole Infocenter is. If I had stumbled across this page trying to find out (as the original poster was) about using 5798-FAX on V5R4 on an i5, then I would come away with the conclusion of . . . I don't really know. I would just know it didn't answer my question. Don't get me wrong, Cindy has helped me before with the fax product and (IIRC) IPP, and she really knows her stuff. <tic> (sort of) I just think the whole computer universe has gotten so complex there is no such thing as a straight answer anymore. </tic>
