QShell utilities are not like iSeries commands, as you know, they are like Unix commands. Those have very little help with them - and QShell has none of the man entries for the commands. All the real documentation is in a PDF you can download from InfoCenter - or at InfoCenter itself.

Many of the commands display a usage prompt - it seems at times that the -h option causes this, but in this case, it turns out that that is a real option. The prompt is displayed when there is an error, say, perhaps not having enough parameters. Of course, that is not helpful enough. Just one of the reasons to appreciate the command help of the iSeries.

www.iseries.ibm.com/infocenter will get you started.

QSH cp questions:
1. How can I find help of the cp
   command in QSHELL?
I like to copy file only when it
   is newer than the target.
2. I like to use also "cp -i..." (interactive) to
prompt the user.
But if I put the commands in a script file,
   and use QSH CMD('script.sh'),
it does not stop for the answer
of the user, but proceeds to the next command line.

Thanks,

Zvi
