There are some journal API's you can use to programtically retrive the journal information in a more user friendly format. Look in the Info Center under Programming/APIs/APIs By Category/Journal and Commit. HTH -----Original Message----- From: "Doug Johnson"<djohnson@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: 8/30/06 1:23:28 PM To: "midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx"<midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: journal question I am trying to monitor the changes made to a particular file, so I set up journaling on it. This part seems to be working fine. However I am running into difficulties when I try to work with the information captured in the journal receivers. Some of the fields in this file are packed numeric fields and these aren't shown properly when I do a DSPJRN (it doesn't matter whether its to an output file or a spool file or to my display). Do I have any options here? Did I miss something when I set up the journaling that would take care of this? thanks -doug ***************************** DOUGLAS JOHNSON System Administrator University Book Store 711 State Street Madison, WI 53703 djohnson@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx phone (608)310-5970 fax (608)257-9479 -- This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, [Message truncated.
