We run World A7.3, OneWorld XE, and EnterpriseOne 8.10 on our 570. W & OW in one LPAR and E1 in another. You don't want to run multiple E1 (or OW) instances in the same LPAR. We use a mix of IxS cards and VMWare sessions for the Deployment Servers and Java Gen machines; you want them on a local LAN segment with Gb interconnects or as IxS cards with VLAN). Beyond the Deployment & Java Windows machines everything else runs native iSeries. Well, developers also use VMWare sessions (XP Pro on VMWare GSX on Windows Server 2003 on a quad Xeon xSeries). The OW & E1 presentation layers uses WebSphere App Server 5.0. The apps are up nearly 24x7 (sans 20 minutes a night to get a quick checkpoint for backups + for a few hours each month for a full save). E1 is deployed in 43 countries so far; OW is US-only and W is US & Australia. WAS is a RAM pig and is slow to stop/start. Everything else is fine. We separated the main E1 WAS instance into a separate memory pool. The folks at my company who are involved with the apps hang out on jdelist sometimes. If you've something specific about E1, you'll get a better response there. If you have hardware/iSeries questions, feel free to post & I'll do my best to answer. John A. I was surprised not to find a mailing list for JDE, since there doesn't appear to be one, I suppose this list is appropriate. I'm looking for feedback concerning running JD Edward's Enterprise One product of the iSeries. Anybody out there willing to answer some question on or off list?
