Just use WRKSPLF to see your spool files.  You should have one named
QSYSPRT.

wrong syntax diag
for IF statement...found the right one.  So, I have successful syntax.

Take a look at the SELECT INTO statement in the SQL Reference.

AS400?  I've
looked through the SQL reference for V5R2 and I'm not seeing
what I need.
