I have some automated ftp gets and puts using clp
and ovrdbf INPUT to source member for ftp steps to execute and
ovrdbf OUTPUT to an empty source member to view logging.
When starting ftp connection -
FTP RMTSYS('FTP-IN.USPS.GOV')
About 1 in 10 times getting "Cannot find host FTP-IN.USPS.GOV" in OUTPUT.
(running this 5 times a day).
My tcp domain info lists 3 domain name servers, all external to the network.
 Domain search list . . . . . . . *DFT
Host name search priority . . . *LOCAL
 Domain name server:
   Internet address . . . . . . . '207.230.75.34'
                                    '4.2.92.3'
                                    '4.2.92.4'

FTP has no "retry" that I know of. I read the OUTPUT and know I had an error,
What I cannot see is if problem is with DNS or FTP (and I know & have verified
the server at FTP-IN.USPS.GOV was up entire time.)
Is there DNS logging I can look at?
