Daniel - great news!The audit journal will just keep growing unless something is reading it and removing entries.If nothing is processing the entries, you are better off not using security auditing, IMO. Best of all, get something in place to watch the audit journal.
Did you say that Data Propagator was just put on? All that activity and new objects will generate lots of audit journal stuff. And maybe you got hit by some loop. You'd need to work your way through the entries to see what happened - that's why it is there, after all!!
